  • 3 month contract with an internationally renowned University in London

About Our Client

Our client is a well recognised brand in the Higher Education sector.

The team are in the office 2-3 times per week in central London.

Job Description

  • Develop and deliver proactive, engaging and impactful external communications campaigns that increase awareness of the university.
  • Provide reactive communications support including crisis management.
  • Develop and implement proactive external communications campaigns and activities.
  • Manage media enquiries from local, national and international media.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University as well as the communications team.
  • Lead on corporate projects and activities including: speech writing, media briefings, website content, online and print publication content creation and production.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience of developing, planning and delivering successful, proactive, external communications campaigns.
  • Track record of successfully working proactively with news or specialist media to secure positive coverage.
  • Background in external communications and campaign management.
  • Evidence of crisis/issue management media handling.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Ability to produce written content suitable for a wide variety of channels.

What's on Offer

  • 3 month contract.
  • Start in May 2025.
  • Day rate contract PAYE or Umbrella.
  • Salary bracket £40,000 - £48,000.
  • Hybrid working.
