Mechanical Technicians – Kirkbymoorside

Hours - 37 hours per week – 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday (flexi-time is available)

A world leader in subsea technology is seeking Mechanical Technicians to join its team in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. Specialising in the design and manufacture of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), Trenchers, and Submarine Rescue Systems, this innovative company provides cutting-edge solutions for deep-water intervention operations across the globe.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-performance subsea equipment in an industry-renowned organisation known for its technical excellence and reliability in extreme environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical assembly of subsea products and components.

Load testing and function testing of ROV tooling and equipment.

Manufacture and testing of hydraulic hoses and pipework.

Ensuring high-quality standards are met within project deadlines.

Completing all necessary documentation (e.g. quality reports, timesheets, NCRs, ECNs).

Supporting workshop maintenance and ensuring health & safety compliance.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong mechanical assembly and workshop experience.

Competency in using hand and power tools.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow test specifications.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to learn and participate in in-house training.

Ideal Background:

Mechanical apprenticeship (preferred).

Experience in an automotive, marine, or mechanical engineering setting.

2-3 years post-apprenticeship experience.
