Mechanical Supervisor (Gas - Small Works)

Looking to lead your own department? Do you like the sound of being in charge of your own success? Experience running your own Mechanical projects up to £300k?

A well-established MEP contractor, based in the Manchester area, is looking for an ambitious Mechanical Supervisor for their aftercare division.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervising the entire project from end-to-end (General Chargehand type duties)
  2. Liaising with all internal/external stakeholders ensuring the smooth running of the projects.
  3. Retrieving quotes and competitive processes from suppliers and sub-contractors.
  4. Take-offs from Drawings; Interpretation of specification/Drawings to project needs.
  5. Technical Liaison and review with externals (clients, suppliers, sub-contractors).
  6. Attending meetings and site visits as/when required.
  7. Willing to develop your role and advance your responsibilities further, for which you will be rewarded accordingly.

Experience Required
  1. Good technical knowledge of full mechanical services (Gas systems, public health, hot and cold water services, etc.)
  2. Ability to build strong working relationships internally/externally.
  3. Must have ACS gas qualification (essential).
  4. Previous experience working on commercial projects worth £10,000 to £300,000.
  5. Ability to run 4-5 projects simultaneously.
  6. Able to use Microsoft packages and read/interpret drawings.
  7. SSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageous.

Package
  1. Salary negotiable depending on experience (circa £40,000 - £45,000).
  2. Rewarding bonus structure based on GP.
