Job description

Mechanical Supervisor
Stevenage
£270.00 per day

Jark Construction are proud to be representing one of Hertfordshire’s most decorated and established M&E firms. Due to an increase of workload, we are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor on a temporary basis. This contract is ongoing and you will be required to manage a large Commercial project near Stevenage.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and manage the mechanical installation work on site.
  2. Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and to the required standard.
  3. Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure that the mechanical works are integrated with other trades on site.
  4. Monitor and review the performance of the mechanical installation team and provide feedback and coaching where necessary.
  5. Ensure that all equipment and materials are ordered and delivered to site on time and in accordance with the project schedule.
  6. Carry out all works in compliance with statutory regulations, current industry standards, company quality and health and safety assurance procedures, including ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 Quality, Environmental and OH&S procedures.
  7. Directly manage the externally contracted and directly employed resources.
  8. Drive the labour workforce on site to achieve the schedule.
  9. Ensure Health & Safety regulations are observed throughout.

Key Skills & Knowledge
  1. Experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in the building services industry.
  2. Health & Safety Qualification - SSSTS OR SMSTS.
  3. Relevant mechanical qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ.
  4. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.

In return our client are offering:
  1. £270.00 per day.
  2. Guaranteed work until Autumn 2025.
