Mechanical Supervisor

Our client, a leading water sector specialist, is looking for a Mechanical (working) Supervisor on a water treatment site in Southampton.

Duration: 3 Months+
Rate: £(Apply online only) p/day (always subject to skills/experience)

Candidate Requirements:

1. SSSTS
2. Relevant Apprenticeship/NVQ/C&G etc.
3. Previous water sector experience is essential
4. Demonstrable experience as a supervisor

Job Outline:

1. Manage the daily operations of the site mechanical team, including task allocation, tooling management, and handling paperwork.
2. Lead inductions, daily briefings, and toolbox talks for site teams.
3. Offer first-line support on site-specific health, safety, and compliance matters.
4. Oversee site-based activities, including client communication, providing daily updates to the Project Manager, and reporting any site-related issues.
5. Identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
6. Ensure all tasks are performed in full compliance with Health and Safety standards, risk assessments, and applicable regulations.
7. Report and document any incidents or near misses occurring under your supervision.
8. Communicate with the client and/or main contractor as needed.
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support and guidance to site teams.
10. Ensure the appropriate permits are in place and that related documentation is completed accurately and to a high standard.
