Mechanical Site Supervisor

Mechanical Site Supervisor - Long term contract with continuation on to other projects afterwards providing many years of work for the right person.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our client's team and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a £10 million commercial project. As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to maintain a smooth workflow and avoid conflicts.
3. Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
4. Manage the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
5. Ensure that all installations are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications and industry best practices.
6. Monitor and control material usage and labour costs to optimize project profitability.
7. Conduct regular quality inspections to identify and rectify any defects or non-conformities.
8. Implement quality control measures to prevent issues and ensure that all work meets the required standards.
9. Prepare and submit quality control documentation, including inspection reports and test certificates.
10. Lead and motivate a team of skilled mechanical installers and technicians.
11. Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
12. Address performance issues and provide necessary training to improve skills and knowledge.
13. Maintain strong relationships with clients and project managers.
14. Communicate effectively with clients to address their concerns and provide regular project updates.
15. Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise on-site.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects.
2. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
3. Excellent knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Strong leadership and organisational skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Valid CSCS card.
8. Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
