Job description

We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Mechanical Repair Engineer based in Leicester on a full-time and permanent basis.

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Working hours: 8:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday.

Annual leave: 25 days plus statutory

About the role:

We are looking to recruit a Multi-skilled Mechanical Repair Engineer who will be working in a small team, within a varied role, refurbishing used machinery for resale.

Duties:

  • In-house repair and refurbishment of machines.
  • Fitting motors and safety switches.
  • Rebuilding of mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Assisting in machine demonstration area.
  • Cleaning and polishing machines.
  • Prepare new machines for delivery to customers.
  • Use of Company vehicle to collect or deliver machinery.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Experience in mechanical engineering (desirable).
  • Must be able to measure in both imperial and metric using rules, vernier callipers, and micrometres.
  • Must be able to mark out, drill and tap, and be competent in the use of power tools.
  • Be able to perform simple milling and turning tasks.
  • Have basic knowledge of electrics and motors 3 Phase.
  • Driving Licence and comfortable driving a van.

Formal qualifications are not essential, but the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong level of competency and be able to work on their own or as a part of a team.
