Mechanical Quality Inspector

£30,000 - £40,000 salary
Monday-Friday | 08:30-16:30

Our client is a leading design and manufacturer of components for Motorsport engines. They are an SME who value teamwork and attention to detail. They are looking for a Mechanical Quality Inspector with experience working in a similar industry and can work well on their own.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Inspect mechanical components/assemblies to ensure quality standards
2. Implement quality protocols and drive process improvements
3. In-house quality standards (similar to AS9000)
4. Use hand-held tools (Verniers, Micrometers, Height Gauges) to analyze dimensions and tolerances
5. Operate CMM machinery
6. Documentation - (Non) Conformance reports and FAIRS
7. Address quality issues with engineering/production teams
8. Liaise with suppliers on non-conformances
9. 3D viewing of parts
10. Stand-alone role reporting to the Workshop Manager

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Mechanical Inspection experience
2. Motorsport or Aerospace background
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
