The Role
The company is seeking a Senior M&E Project Manager with extensive experience in managing large-scale commercial fit-outs. This individual will oversee mechanical and electrical installations from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and high-quality delivery. The role requires a commercially focused, results-driven professional with a strong track record in managing fast-track, design-led fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have a stable career history, demonstrating long-term commitment to previous employers rather than frequent moves between roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Full project ownership of large-scale M&E fit-outs, ensuring seamless execution from planning to handover
- Lead and manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring all works meet program deadlines and budget constraints
- Work closely with clients, consultants, and design teams to drive projects forward, resolving technical challenges proactively
- Oversee financial performance, including procurement, cost control, change management, and value engineering
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, industry standards, and project-specific requirements
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring all mechanical and electrical installations meet commercial-grade performance criteria
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in managing high-value commercial M&E fit-outs (£3M - £10M)
- Strong background in CAT A & CAT B office fit-outs, corporate spaces, and retail developments
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, project sequencing, and installation methodologies
- Ability to lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers efficiently
- Commercially astute, with experience in budget management, procurement, and financial forecasting
- Holds relevant qualifications – CSCS (Black/White), SMSTS, First Aid, and industry-specific certifications
