We are searching for a Project Manager with well-developed communication skills and M&E industry knowledge and experience. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact responsible for planning, executing, and delivering mechanical projects on time, in accordance with specifications, and to our customers’ expectations.

To achieve these critical goals, the Project Manager will define project requirements and scope, ensure project resources from other departments, and, working closely with our Energy Division and Shared Services, will oversee the efforts of the project teams.

Efficient completion of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each project’s lifecycle.

Mechanical Project Manager duties include:

  • Working on projects from inception to completion.
  • Site survey of potential M&E Projects, including layout design, quotation, and Client Liaison.
  • Planning various programmes.
  • Managing specialist subcontractors and budget.
  • Ensuring achievable targets are agreed with clients and site teams.
  • Leading project teams to ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables.
  • Technical reviews.
  • Control project-specific commissioning strategy.
  • Running commercial projects.
  • Implementing health & safety policies and procedures of the company.
  • Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends are investigated competently, and corrective action is taken where and when appropriate.
  • Carry out regular audits of staff performance and quality of work to ensure the highest standard of service and workmanship is being achieved.
  • Handovers/closing out projects.
  • Upward reporting to senior management.

You will demonstrate:

  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal, team building, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, key managers, and other stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience of management on M&E projects or similar.
  • Recognised Building Services Qualifications (HNC or equivalent).
  • Must be computer literate – Word, Excel, Microsoft Project.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH.
  • Full UK Driving License which has been continuously held for 12 months or more, with no more than 6 points.
  • A legal right to work in the UK.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience of working within the Telecoms Sector i.e., Data Centres, Telephone exchanges, etc.
  • CRM experience.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • Free Parking.
  • Employee Bonus Scheme.
  • Healthcare Cashback Plan.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
