Job description

Mechanical Project Manager - Hospital Project (Surrey)
Location: Guildford, Surrey (commutable from Aldershot, Woking, Bracknell, Crawley, and Basingstoke)
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A leading Tier 1 Mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-profile hospital project based in Surrey.

The Role:

This is a site-based position where you will be overseeing all mechanical elements of the project from inception through to completion. You will be accountable for ensuring the work is delivered to the highest standards, within budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate all mechanical works on-site
  2. Prepare and manage tenders as required on behalf of the client
  3. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  4. Provide technical guidance to on-site teams and operatives
  5. Produce and deliver regular project progress reports
  6. Maintain consistent site progress and implement solutions to stay on schedule
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager
  2. Background as a Mechanical Pipefitter with progression into project management
  3. Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills
  5. Willingness to be site-based and travel to other project locations if required
