Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medium to heavy industrial.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver all assigned projects on time, within specification and budget.
  • Produce and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD.

Company Overview:
This company is a well-known manufacturer in the local area that is looking to bring on enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated people to join their growing business. They are a leading employer in the South Wales area and offer excellent internal training programmes and have an extremely low staff turnover.

Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Working as part of the project team to deliver all assigned projects on time, within specification and on budget
  2. Producing and maintaining process and engineering drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring drawings and layouts are updated following completion
  3. Assisting the Project Manager in developing a project scope, budget, and timeline for each investment project
  4. Developing and tracking the costs for all mechanical and civil activities in each project through a well-defined and itemised budget
  5. Collaborating with stakeholders including multi-disciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and contractors

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  1. Qualified to Degree/HND/HNC level in Mechanical Engineering
  2. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment, preferably a medium to heavy industrial environment
  3. High level of knowledge and experience using both 2D and 3D engineering design software (AutoCAD & Inventor)
  4. Capability to read and produce complex schematic diagrams and mechanical drawings
  5. An understanding of Project Management principles
