About the Company
Our client is an established and leading independent manufacturer of speciality products for a wide variety of industrial applications. Part of a growing international group, the business is investing in its current production and engineering capabilities and is currently looking to appoint a number of Mechanical Technicians.
The successful candidate will support the Engineering team helping develop the site maintenance and asset management system. You must be a hands-on Engineer, with a great attitude for maintenance, H&S and Production.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Days) Requirements
- City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in a top-tier COMAH plant or speciality chemical manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
- DSEAR
- COMPEX
- Knowledge of UK Legislation (particularly CDM, HSWA)
Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Days) Responsibilities
- Proactive scheduled maintenance to minimise the reactive maintenance, undertaking maintenance projects from initiation to completion, overseen by your supervisor.
- Escalate problems quickly to the Engineering Manager
- Work throughout project & asset lifecycle from front end, detailed design and system verification, validation and maintenance
- Requesting the correct documentation and data required for the site maintenance system and compliance to site standards
- You may be responsible for overseeing contractors on site
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
