£45,000 - £60,000 per annum

Pin Point Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for a chemical manufacturing business based in West Thurrock.

The company has been established since 1979 and covers 9 sites across the UK, with the West Thurrock site being the headquarters. They supply both bulk and packed chemicals to a variety of industries including agriculture, water, steel production, energy utilities, pharmaceuticals, and homecare products.

As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring the safety of the Mechanical Technicians
2. Selecting and issuing work to the Mechanical Technicians
3. Planning and scheduling mechanical maintenance work
4. Liaising efficiently & safely with the Operations team and other maintenance personnel
5. Controlling all mechanical maintenance activities on site using personnel efficiently
6. Following the procedures in the management system to ensure compliance with all standards for the site
7. Completing all routine checks following the preventative maintenance schedules
8. Working on asset breakdowns as identified
9. Sourcing and ordering parts and tools as required
10. Providing daily supervision to the Mechanical Technicians
11. Maintaining an efficient operation with the mechanical maintenance team
12. Ensuring adequate risk assessments and safe systems of work are completed for all activities
13. Completing all duties as an Authorised Person on site within the Permit to Work system
14. Helping develop and follow the preventative maintenance program for the site
15. Following a rigorous inspection program for all equipment on site

1. Vast experience working in a heavy industrial environment within a mechanical maintenance role
2. Experience working within a COMAH site is beneficial
3. IOSH Certification
4. Familiarity with the following regulations is an advantage:
1. PSSR (Pressure System Safety Regulations)
2. LOLAH (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations)
3. PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations)
5. Experience managing PPM documentation
