Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Rainham Steel Co Ltd, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Rainham Steel, a leading UK steel stockholder, requires an experienced mechanical engineer to work at our Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire depot. Offering a competitive rate of pay, a dynamic and friendly working environment, and a secure position within an established company.

The Job Role:

• Reporting to the operations manager
• Hydraulic system installation, diagnosis, and repair
• Electrical system installation, diagnosis, and repair
• Fault finding and rectification
• Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance
• Periodic service and maintenance
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions
• Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary
• Basic working hours 6am - 15:30pm, 42.5 hours per week

The Candidate:

• Proven experience in maintenance within a production environment
• Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
• Able to work in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
• Good command of the English language
• Good timekeeper
