Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Runcorn area, Cheshire, South bank of the River Mersey, commutable from Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool etc.
Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Pay Range: £60k plus extensive package, overtime and market-leading pension
£70k realistic.
Contract Type: Permanent
Industry: Global Manufacturer, award-winning UK category market leader, multi-billion turnover

Our client is a large Global manufacturer with a global footprint. It is an established site undergoing £MM investment with an established engineering team. Staff retention is excellent. Training, development, and support are provided on a manufacturing site. You will help the site make high-quality processed products. This is a unique opportunity to join an established, highly profitable secure site.

We are looking for a talented, experienced mechanical bias engineer.

Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  1. Providing effective and efficient mechanical planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production
  2. Leading mechanical breakdowns working with CMMS
  3. Continual improvement projects
  4. Ownership and development of specific production line maintenance
  5. Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults
  6. Design, trial, and implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance
  7. Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated
  8. Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls
Qualifications & Requirements - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  1. Apprentice trained ideal, or NVQ level 3 / HNC in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering
  2. Manufacturing Industry experience essential, open on industry background
  3. Fitting, Fabricating and Welding experience preferred
  4. Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, robots and extraction systems is desirable
  5. Experience in computerised maintenance management systems
  6. A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
