This is an exciting time to join the Northampton Brewery where you will be a part of a highly skilled maintenance team, delivering and driving results in a modern operation. You will be working in a well backed and invested environment that is working with cutting edge technologies on a large scale. If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This role will play a key part of our success journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems and equipment, (including state of the art large & small scale process equipment from pumps to robotic handling, fillers and utility equipment, valves, pumps, structural components and pneumatics) using diagnostic tools to repair faults ensuring all mechanical installations/ repairs are completed to the required regulatory and company standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams by addressing equipment/ infrastructure issues promptly and effectively, collaborating with other maintenance colleagues to complete cross functional tasks and projects whilst mentoring apprentices & newer technicians fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Follow all health, safety & environmental regulations adhering to LOTO safety standards, maintaining compliance with codes of practice and all maintenance is recorded accurately and in a timely manner in the CMMS.
  • Support the implementation of lean practices (5S, Kaizan, AM) and participate in Root Cause Analysis for problem solving to address any recurring issues.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on infrastructure systems including utilities, HVAC systems, piping and mechanical structures, ensuring the reliability and compliance of utilities to meet production and site wide operational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete cross discipline tasks.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Recognised qualifications in Mechanical Engineering – or related discipline (HNC/ HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a multiskilled maintenance role within FMCG, Manufacturing or Industrial business.
  • Certifications in areas such as welding, hydraulics, pneumatics or rotating machinery is advantageous.
  • Experience using CMMS for work order management and maintenance record keeping.
  • Hands on CBM experience and condition monitoring software for data collection, analysis, and reporting is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical & process faults in equipment and infrastructure.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Full UK Working Rights.
