Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

Ipswich | £44,000 | Monday-Friday, Days Only

You're a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who knows their way around a plant floor.Whether it's diagnosing faults, responding to breakdowns, or staying ahead with planned maintenance.You're the person who keeps things moving.

You understand the pressure of busy production environments.You don't just fix problems, you prevent them.You take pride in your work, and you're always looking to improve the machinery, the process, and yourself.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical production equipment
  • Quick, effective response to breakdowns to reduce downtime
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis on heavy plant machinery
  • Supporting engineering and production teams with continuous improvements
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and quality

The Successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or similar)
  • Experience in FMCG, food, pharma, or heavy industrial settings
  • A solid grasp of pneumatic, bearings, and mechanical systems
  • The drive to work smart and support a strong engineering culture
  • Commutable to Ipswich
