Job Working pattern: Days, 530am - 2pm, 40-hour week, Monday to Friday

Location: Castle Donnington area

Pay Range: GBP34-GBP36k Target Plus Benefits

Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Days Monday to Friday

1. Providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
2. Ensuring the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
3. Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.
4. Working with a variety of process and manufacturing machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and general mechanical fitting.
5. Fault-finding to fabrication.
6. Leading electrical and instrumentation repair, and working with CMMS.
7. Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults.
8. Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance.
9. Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated.
10. Contributing to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.

Qualifications & Requirements - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Days Monday to Friday

1. Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
2. Experience in plastics, process, CNC, tooling, general manufacturing is ideal.
3. Manufacturing industry experience in heavy, medium or FMCG environments is considered - more about the transferable skills and culture fit.
4. Knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes and couplings general mechanical equipment.
5. Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems is essential.
6. Routine preventative maintenance understanding of a PPM schedule.
7. Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively.
8. Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous.
9. Fitting, fabricating and welding experience preferred.
10. A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
