Job Title: Installer
Department: Operations
Responsible to: Installations Divisional Manager
Job Type: Full-Time (39 hours per week)

Job Overview:
The Installer role requires a skilled professional to complete the installation of systems and equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with the designated Contract Manager, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within financial targets. This is a customer-facing role, requiring work at client sites from the start of a contract until completion. The role involves frequent travel and working away from home during the week, with accommodation, a meal allowance, a van, and a fuel card provided.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out mechanical installations with associated electrical controls.
2. Work safely and maintain a tidy work environment.
3. Ensure all equipment is installed correctly and report any defects or variations.
4. Oversee additional operatives, ensuring tasks are clearly understood.
5. Receive and manage installation materials, ensuring all company property is kept in safe condition.
6. Record and report any stock shortages or discrepancies.
7. Communicate effectively with the Operations Department.
8. Participate in site surveys and meetings when required.
9. Maintain tools and access equipment, ensuring safe use.

Essential Requirements:

1. Minimum two years' experience in installation with a specialist trade background.
2. Strong mechanical installation skills with associated electrical controls.
3. Valid CSCS trade card or relevant qualification.
4. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and multitask.
5. Strong customer-facing skills and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics.
7. Full driving licence and ability to travel at short notice.
8. Prepared to work away from home during the week (accommodation and meal allowance provided).
9. Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
10. Must pass DBS clearance checks (provided and paid for).
