Mechanical Fitter MEWPS

My client has an immediate requirement for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to work at their site in Southampton.

This position is on days Mon-Fri, offering an umbrella rate of between £30-£35 per hour.

It is imperative that applicants must have work experience on either cranes or complex hydraulic heavy lifting equipment.

Applicants must also have an appreciation of electrics, although the company also employs electrical fitters.

Prerequisites:

1. Min 5 years experience working around heavy industry.
2. Min Level 3 NVQ or similar in Mechanical engineering discipline, preferred HNC.
3. Proven experience of working with diagnostics and repair of hydraulic systems.
4. An understanding of electrical systems/motors and safe isolations.
5. Able to read technical drawings and schematics.
6. Experience of working on cranes.
7. MEWPS License NPORS or equivalent.
8. Must provide their own tools – specialist OEM tools will be provided.
9. Driving license.
