Mechanical Fitter - Immingham

Job Description

Wood is looking to hire a Mechanical Fitter for Lindsey Oil Refinery, Immingham. Are you a mechanical fitter, local to Immingham, looking for an opportunity to work for a reputable client in the Humberside Area who offers work on a 9-day fortnight? If so, this job may be the role for you.

Key aims and objectives

1. To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications.
2. To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent plating construction service in accordance with project/company requirements, standards and procedures.
3. To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule.
4. To ensure all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment.

Responsibilities

1. Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the plating/structural work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
2. Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.
3. Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack/jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketches.
4. Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
5. Apply for relevant permits to work (PTW) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manner.
6. Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• CCNSG Safety passport
• Wood mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.
• MJI10 or TMJI10
