Job description

We are looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter on a day shift - 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday.

Your role will be to:

• Participate in departmental and site safety initiatives and promote a safety-first culture.
• Undertake all mechanical work as required.
• Work closely and in collaboration with the Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, and the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor.
• Liaise with the Shift Production Leader on production priorities.
• Comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP's) and permits to work where appropriate.
• Monitor the Engineering Requests (ER's) and carry out appropriate tasks.
• Carry out plant checks as defined.
• When necessary, work planned shutdowns and be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security, or production equipment breakdowns.
• Comply with the company and engineering quality procedures.
• Comply with the Company's Code of Conduct.

You will need:

• A Mechanical Trade Apprenticeship.
• A minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or 5 years experience in mechanical engineering).

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
