TEXO Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a time served Mechanical Fitter for one of our clients based in South Shields, on a permanent basis.

This company is a bespoke equipment and design consultancy specialising in marine and subsea equipment. They support their clients who are in-field operating vessels and equipment – they are doing amazing things in challenging conditions; they support them and their operation teams utilising their technical skill set.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assembly of heavy equipment within workshop using the direction of engineering drawings.
• Testing of assembled equipment and sub-components prior to shipment to clients.
• Close co-operation with operations and adherence to company procedures (QHSE).
• Working to deadlines to achieve on-time deliveries to clients.
• Proactive approach to improving the workshop and build environment, ability to carry out improvements.
• Ad-hoc management of the workshop and goods-in (we’re a small business).
• Support of clients off-site from main works (UK or abroad).
• This is a wide-ranging role; other duties as required to support clients and the wider business.

Salary and Benefits:

• £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year DOE.

Experience level Required:

• Time served mechanical fitter – minimum 4+ years experience.
• Hydraulic assembly and working knowledge.
