Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in a warehouse environment. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling components and ensuring that products meet our high-quality standards. This position requires proficiency with both hand tools and power tools, making it essential for candidates to have a solid understanding of assembly processes.

Working Hours
AM - Monday to Friday 6am-2pm
PM - Monday to Thursday 2pm - 12am
Overtime paid at X1.5

Duties

1. Assemble various components and products according to specifications and quality standards.
2. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks.
3. Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required specifications.
4. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
5. Fault finding and rectification.
6. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
7. Collaborate with team members to optimise assembly processes and improve productivity.
8. Report any issues or discrepancies in the assembly process to the supervisor promptly.

Experience

1. Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for this role, with experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment being highly desirable.
2. Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools is required for effective assembly tasks.
3. Level 3 in mechanical/manufacturing/engineering disciplines (or equivalent).
4. Previous experience in an assembly technician role or similar position will be advantageous.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately are critical for success in this role.
