About the Anthro JV:
The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.

What We Are Recruiting For: Mechanical Engineer

Anthro JV is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the project through design to completion. This role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. The Installation of mechanical Systems: The ability to install piping systems, HVAC systems, valves, pumps, and safety systems.
  2. The Testing of mechanical Systems: The ability to undertake testing of all mechanical installations.
  3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify mechanical faults, troubleshoot problems, and carry out necessary repairs or upgrades to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance work, including compliance reports and test results.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with construction teams and other contractors to coordinate installation work and ensure project timelines are met.
  6. Health, Safety and Compliance: Ensure high levels of health, safety, and compliance are maintained at all times on site.

Person Specification:

  1. Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, specifically in installation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of mechanical standards and safety regulations.
  3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings and schematics.
  4. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and accurately.

  1. City & Guilds
  2. JIB Card or Skills card with NVQ Level 3

Competencies and Behaviours:

  1. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  2. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time effectively.
