Job description

£16.69 - £18.36 per hour depending on experience

Temporary to Permanent (12-week temp, permanent offer after 9 weeks if successful)
39 hours per week Monday to Friday DAYS ONLY!

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This role involves repairing and maintaining a range of industrial rotating equipment, including AC & DC motors, motorized gearboxes, pumps, fan units, generators, and other associated machinery.

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Fitter:
  • Diagnose faults, dismantle, and repair industrial equipment.
  • Test, inspect, and service motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
  • Handle a wide variety of components, from small fan units to large-scale industrial motors.
  • Provide clear fault reports and relay findings to management.
  • Occasionally travel to client sites using a company vehicle (site work experience & CCNSG passport advantageous).
  • Maintain high health and safety standards.
Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter:
  • City & Guilds Engineering Qualification
  • Mechanical Fitter Experience
  • Previous experience stripping down pumps, motors, gearboxes
  • Understand technical drawings
