The Successful Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Maintenance Engineer will provide fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of industrial gearboxes at the workshop in Huddersfield.
The Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Maintenance Engineer will have a mechanical engineering background servicing, fitting, and maintaining equipment such as motors, gearboxes, compressors, generators, diesel engines, pumps, or similar mechanical engineering products / systems.

Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Gearbox Fitter role:
- To provide mechanical fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of industrial gearboxes at the workshop in Huddersfield.
- Flexibility of skills to carry out fault finding, testing, wiring, and mechanical fitting.
- Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of, and adherence to health and safety requirements.
- Ability to complete technical documentation as work progresses.
- To perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Gearbox Fitter Requirements:
- Will have a mechanical engineering background servicing, fitting, maintaining equipment such as motors, gearboxes, compressors, generators, diesel engines, pumps, or similar mechanical engineering products / systems.
- Experience as a fitter, mechanical fitter, electro-mechanical fitter, mechanical engineer, service engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, service technician, gearbox fitter.
- Candidates with an engineering qualification and some mechanical fitting / assembly experience are strongly advised to apply.
- Ability to work to strict quality guidelines within ISO9001 and RISAS.
- An engineering qualification would be advantageous.
- Willingness to commute to the workshop in Huddersfield.
