Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is currently seeking a number of skilled Mechanical Fitters for a 6-month contract. This role is crucial for maintaining and improving water infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and reliability within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment
  2. Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical components
  3. Collaborating with site engineers and other stakeholders to achieve project goals
  4. Adhering to safety regulations and site protocols
  5. Documenting maintenance activities and reporting any issues to the project manager
  6. Assisting in the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of mechanical equipment on site
  7. Ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition

Job Requirements:
  1. Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in a site-based role
  2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems within the water sector
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  4. Proficiency in using various tools and machinery relevant to the role
  5. Understanding of health and safety protocols and the importance of compliance
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  8. CSCS Card
  9. Own Tools / PPE
