Mechanical Estimator - Building Services

Due to retirement, my client is looking to bring on a Mechanical Estimator to join their 20 year old M&E business. You will work alongside an electrical estimator to complete tenders for the business as a key component to the ongoing success of the company.

Requirements:

This position is suitable for both existing estimators or candidates with experience in estimating who are looking to pursue the estimating profession full time, such as mechanical engineers, project managers, project engineers, or similar roles that involve estimating.

Package:

• Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 depending on the level of experience
• Car or allowance of circa £6,000
• Hybrid working
• Private healthcare
• 8% pension

Role:

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to produce competitive bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy of estimates.
