Mechanical Engineering Manager (Steam)

My client now has a new opportunity for an Engineering Manager (Mechanical Biased) to join their team. This is a large environment and the ideal candidate will have a recognised course leading to a qualification in "Building Services" or have worked in the industry for 5+ years. Mechanically Biased with knowledge of Steam/Pressure Systems Regulations/Water/Boiler House Maintenance etc. The main responsibilities with this role will be overseeing PPMs and Reactive maintenance, ensuring KPIs / SLAs are hit, Insurance Inspections, contractor control and asset lifecycle plans etc.

Ideal Skills required are listed below although it is not all essential to have:

• Good communication skills - verbal
• Insurance inspection requirements for pressure systems
• Pressure systems, Calorifiers, Pressurisation units, Expansion vessels, Domestic heating systems, Ventilation, Air Handling Units, Heating, Cooling, BMS, Humidifiers
• Fan Coil Units, Extract Fans, Plumbing (Domestic and Commercial), Hot and cold water services, Water regulations, Compressed air systems, Water Softeners, Cooling Towers - L8 Requirements, Refrigeration.

On a Health and Safety Side, Risk assessments, Method Statements, Mechanical isolation of MTHW and Steam systems.
