Job description

  • Position: Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing)
  • Location: North East
  • Salary: GBP23 per hour PAYE
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week: shift dependant
  • Potential: On-call and overtime
  • Contract: work
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reactive maintenance on plumbing, mechanical systems, HVAC units, and building fabric.
  • Carry out PPM tasks according to the maintenance schedule, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in plumbing systems, mechanical equipment, and HVAC units.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency maintenance support, with a standby pay.
General Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all tasks performed.
