Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our client's welding machine workshop team.

Role Overview:

  1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (No weekends)
  2. Location: Southampton

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and repair faults in electric and engine-driven welding and cutting equipment.
  2. Inspect returned machines, identifying and resolving any faults.
  3. Prepare machines for hire, ensuring they are fully operational and in top condition.
  4. Adhere to safety standards while performing maintenance and repairs.
  5. Collaborate with the team to maintain an efficient workflow and deliver high-quality service.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in welding, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  2. Familiarity with welding equipment and cutting tools is highly beneficial.
  3. Agricultural experience is a plus.
  4. Forklift engineering knowledge is advantageous.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  7. Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to safety.
