Location: Romford (Office-Based Only)

Serving clients across the residential, industrial, commercial, retail and entertainment sectors in the Greater London area, we pride ourselves on delivering quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in all our projects.

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team. If you have the skills and dedication to excellence, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct all stages of mechanical design from concept to completion as required by the project.
  2. Ensure value engineering of mechanical design.
  3. Ensure that technical assessments are completed, and technical issues are resolved quickly.
  4. Compile and issue mechanical technical submittals.
  5. Chair regular meetings to ensure that progress is monitored & maintained. Update and record progress on system trackers ensuring alignment with the project schedule.
  6. Review the mechanical installation with the BIM team to ensure constructability of the design.
  7. Take design lead on projects promoting design excellence at all times.
  8. Consult closely with other professionals, including design and construction team.

Experience and Skills:
  1. Qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or higher educational qualification.
  2. 5+ years of proven project engineering experience.
  3. Experience in a range of digital tools including AutoCAD, AutoDesk and Microsoft packages.
  4. Experienced in project lead and delivery of mechanical services across multiple projects, as part of a multi-discipline design team.
  5. Fully conversant with technical and legislation requirements for mechanical services equipment and installation design and management.
  6. Capability of walking down mechanical systems to ensure compliance with specification.
  7. Strong communication and people skills, particularly the ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally with an open and inclusive style.
  8. Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
  9. Good team player with a client-focused mindset and customer facing skills.
  10. Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.
