Mechanical Engineering, Waste Water treatment, Design Engineering

Your new company is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the Energy, Renewables, Water, and Wastewater sectors. They specialise in district heating projects, chemical dosing systems, and water and wastewater treatment technologies. Your new role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing products for the water, wastewater, and energy industries. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Creating design data, including 2D drawings, calculations, BOM, equipment schedules, P&ID diagrams, control philosophies, and component specifications.
  2. Developing designs and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  3. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication throughout project delivery.
  4. Tracking and monitoring information exchanges as per ISO 9001.
  5. Conducting quality checks on products.
  6. Developing risk assessments and method statements.
  7. Liaising with the construction team and commissioning equipment.

What you'll need to succeed: A minimum 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related product design or engineering subject, and at least 3 years of post-graduation relevant experience in a similar role. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, including the ability to generate complex 3D CAD assemblies and drawings, and experience working with SolidWorks are essential. You should have a full current driving licence and access to a car, excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project). Flexibility and adaptability are also important, as the role will involve travel, primarily within the UK and Ireland.
