Job description

CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to be based in Bristol, UK. The successful applicant will be a key appointment to the project and will work within the client’s integrated Mechanical team, to lead the development and execution phase activities for heavy lifting, rotating equipment and general activities for a Mechanical Engineer.

Location: Bristol, UK

(Contract)

Key duties will include:
  • Leading technical open point meetings
  • Technical surveillance and resolution of issues/queries
  • Review and approval of contractor deliverables and design where necessary
  • Review of non-conformances, exemptions requests, Open points and design changes
  • Control Management of the evolution of the contract and design changes
  • Review and approval of contract amendments and exemptions
  • Liaise with RD and clients team to ensure integration of equipment with interfacing functions/systems
  • Liaise within the responsible designer and client management teams
  • Reporting of KPI’s to the CEL
  • Technical Assessments of the tenders in the aspects of design, qualification and manufacturing.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of EPR or General PWR design
  • Knowledge and experience in Nuclear Mechanical Equipment Design, Manufacture and Operations
  • Technical Background on Handling Equipment such as (Cranes, Mechanical Equipment, Rotating Equipment, Steelwork Design, Lift Design)
  • Understanding of equipment interfaces (Safety Case, Systems Engineering, Civil Interfaces)
  • Contract management and document reviews
  • Experience using change-management commercial and deliverable management systems (UKDC, WKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter, Navisworks)
  • IT Literate
  • Materials or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline.
