Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer
We are seeking experienced Engineers with a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering to contribute to key infrastructure projects. The role requires expertise in working on substations, designing and interpreting detailed general arrangement drawings and layouts, as well as excellent documentation skills.
- Attend substations and contribute to the design, review, and understanding of detailed general arrangement drawings and layouts.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for project deliverables.
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of telecoms virtual logic systems and ensure compliance with CDM 2015 requirements.
- Identify and assess risks associated with asbestos in project areas (e.g., during metalwork for cable attachment).
- Collaborate effectively with the design team to resolve issues and refine project components, such as metalwork solutions.
- Work closely with Project Engineers, especially those with IT and virtual experience, to ensure project coherence and technical alignment.
- Strong Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering background.
- Competence in reading and designing technical drawings and layouts.
- Proven experience in risk identification and assessment, including asbestos-related risks.
- Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Valid 18th Edition Certificate (mandatory).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to effectively manage time and deliverables within project deadlines.
