Mechanical Design Engineer – Lifting and Tooling – Submarines

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Submarines Services business for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience designing lifting and handling equipment and/or experience of component design within the UK nuclear industry.
The Services Engineering Team are responsible for providing expertise and equipment to support the submarines enterprise. This includes the design and substantiation of high integrity equipment as well as the design and substantiation of complex assembly and tooling to support on–site nuclear facility design, boat build, and in–service maintenance. We are looking for a Design Engineer who will work collaboratively and cross–functionally to define, substantiate, and deliver to cost and quality.

To work for Rolls–Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls–Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
