MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 - Dependant on Experience + Lucrative Company Benefit Scheme

My client, a growing manufacturer in the Northwest, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded Mechanical Design Engineer. Working within this well-established company, you will be involved in the full design process of new products and instrumental in all aspects of engineering research, design, and innovation. The business is experiencing a continued increase in business, and this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a growing team.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop & maintain craft, assemblies and systems in the form of 3D models.
2. Develop drawings and documentation to required specifications.
3. Work on projects from concept to completion.
4. Liaise with Projects, Purchasing, Production & Workshop Teams to ensure smooth product development & manufacture.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
6. Design and develop high quality and innovative products to meet the company's technical and commercial requirements.
7. Regular interaction with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
8. Focus on safety, reliability, quality, and functionality.
9. Develop composite, machined, sheet metal and welded fabrications in line with the abilities of our fabricators.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Working knowledge of Engineering Design System (3D CAD).
2. Specific experience with 3D Autodesk Inventor; 3D experience on Solidworks is beneficial.
3. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
4. AlphaCAM - Experience would be great but full training provided.
5. Full clean valid driving licence.
