Mechanical Design Engineer
Swindon Up to £50,000 Full-time, Permanent

Are you passionate about high-performance engineering and motorsport innovation? We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team at the heart of the UK’s motorsport scene. Based in Swindon, you’ll be working with cutting-edge technology to design and develop precision components for motorsport applications, supporting some of the most exciting and demanding racing environments.

About the Role as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

As a key member of the engineering team, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical design projects, from concept through to production and testing. This includes:

  1. Designing components and assemblies using Solidworks
  2. Producing detailed engineering drawings and BOMs
  3. Collaborating with manufacturing, test, and race teams to ensure designs meet performance requirements
  4. Applying knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and FEA techniques to optimise performance and reliability
  5. Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation across the product range

About You as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

  1. Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is beneficial
  2. Strong 3D CAD skills and a solid understanding of mechanical principles
  3. A passion for motorsport and a detail-driven mindset
  4. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
