Mechanical Design Engineer required for a leading manufacturer of bespoke machinery based in the Stourport-On-Severn area. In support of continual growth, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be joining an existing and supportive design team. The successful candidate will be Degree, HND/HND qualified or Apprentice Served in a Mechanical Design field of study and be passionate about mechanical engineering and design.

Design Engineer Position Overview

Reporting to the Design Manager, the Mechanical Design Engineers responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the development of products from conceptual drawing stage right through to design for manufacture.
2. Creating drawings via Solidworks of equipment to customer specifications.
3. Liaising closely with other members of the design and manufacture team.
4. Assisting the development of prototypes.
5. Product Testing / Monitoring of prototype designs and consulting with in house engineers / Colleagues.

Design Engineer Position Requirements

1. A Degree, served in an Engineering / Mechanical Design field of study is essential to this role.
2. Proficient with 2D and 3D Software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD is essential.
3. 3+ years of experience within Mechanical Design Engineering.
4. Knowledge/Experience with automated machinery or materials handling solutions advantageous.
5. Full UK Driving License.

Design Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience.
Hours: 37.5 p/week - 7.30-4, M-T & 7.30-1 Friday
Holiday allowance & pension.
