Established over 100 years ago, this highly impressive engineering organisation has become a vital partner to their high profile clientele. Operating out of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, they currently employ over 120 people and produce bespoke high-end products for use in a variety of industries and types of facilities.

This employer is based in LEEDS, meaning that the successful Mechanical Design Engineer will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns and cities including Bradford, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, Bingley and Keighley.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer will include:

  1. Create working drawings from customer specifications ensuring the clients and product needs are met, working to industry standards
  2. Create new and modify existing product designs
  3. Attend internal and on-site client meetings
  4. Work collaboratively with internal departments including Production, Electrical Engineering and Purchasing to ensure the optimal design
  5. Create and update BOM’s (Bill of Materials)

For the Mechanical Design Engineer, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

  1. Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
  2. Experience working with AutoCAD and Solidworks
  3. Qualification in Mechanical Engineering

Salary and benefits:

  1. Up to £42,000 (depending on experience)
  2. Monday to Thursday – 08:15am to 17:00pm
  3. Friday – 08:15am to 12:45pm
  4. 33 days Annual Leave including Bank Holidays
  5. 8% Combined Pension
