Mechanical Design Engineer

Our Grantham based client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop customer products for the auto industry.

Duties include:

1. Creation of design and assembly drawings.
2. Produce BDM for special products and procurement.
3. Assist clients and engineers with telephone support.
4. Update technical documents and manuals when needed.
5. Liaise with planning team to ensure timely project fulfilment.

Requirements:

The successful Design Engineer must be proficient in the use of Autodesk, Inventor, and SolidWorks, with intermediate Word and Excel skills. A minimum of HND or equivalent or two years plus a sound mechanical background in fabricated assembly and sheet metalwork is required. Hydraulic and Electrical knowledge would be helpful but is not essential.
