Mechanical Design Engineer

Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in their leading facility in Whitchurch.

For the successful Mechanical Design Engineer our client is offering:

• Competitive salary paying up to £40,000 depending on experience
• Days based role Monday to Friday 39 hours per week - 8am-4pm or 7am-4pm with a 12pm finish on Fridays
• Permanent Position within a well established Engineering business
• Pension scheme

The Role - Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Managing a variety of projects at any given time
• Working on current project ranges and improving/modifying on existing designs
• Working with departments across the business to report on the status of projects
• Preparation of technical documentation
• Liaison with customers when required
• Ensuring all designs being produced are to the required standards
• Designing using 2D & 3D - Solidworks
• Project management

What our client is looking for in a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Strong 2D / 3D design based skills
• Qualified within a Mechanical Engineering discipline - Advantageous
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Strong working experience with Solidworks
