This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the rail industry, looking to work on specialist projects and develop their career.

The Role:

1. Responsible for providing engineering support services for freight and passenger rolling stock projects, predominantly CAD design and structural engineering.
2. Produce drawings and structural assessments using hand calculations and FEA tools.
3. Mixture of office & site based.
4. Working on projects from design to completion.

The Person:

1. Mechanical Design Engineer.
2. 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks).
3. Rail background (freight, passenger rail).
4. Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a desire to achieve chartered status (company will support this).
5. Some experience with design and structures / FEA analysis (beneficial).
