Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in the Calne area who are actively looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

1. Designing a range of hydraulic systems, lifting equipment and machinery components using Autodesk Inventor
2. Engineering calculations to ensure designs meet performance standards
3. Creation of detailed technical information including CAD drawings, specifications and technical files
4. Prototype testing and analysis and support during the manufacturing process, working with a number of internal departments

What you will need to succeed:

1. Experience within a heavy engineering environment
2. Previous hydraulics design experience (or a good understanding of)
3. Excellent IT skills including CAD and Autodesk Inventor
4. A good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems
5. Experience of using or creating technical files
6. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
7. Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of individuals
8. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
