Job Description

Are you a M&E Construction Manager / Site Manager with a strong background working on new build residential projects? Would a 15 month contract working on a major Development in London be of interest?

We're working with an established and growing M&E Contractor whose turnover is £60M. We need to find a Mechanical Construction Manager / Site Manager to coordinate/manage testing and commissioning on apartments across multiple floors and blocks in a development.

Candidates need to be well versed in both Electrical & Mechanical packages and must have previously worked on M&E packages of over £2.5M.

Job Description

  • Coordinate testing and commissioning with all M&E contractors including electrical, mechanical, ventilation, lift, and sprinkler systems.
  • Manage and coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate and assist the technical team to update testing certificates in line with the O&M manual portal.
  • Ensure installations are to drawings.
  • Control safety, quality, and environmental activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of site construction activities including direct labour and sub-contractors while communicating and coordinating key project duties.
  • Monitor the overall progress of works against the agreed construction programme.
  • Work with the client and team in managing day-to-day challenges.
  • Complete site progress reports and issue them to the Project/Contracts Manager.
  • Liaise with the commercial team to coordinate changes/variations.
  • Maintain accurate on-site records of all goods received on a weekly basis, ensuring correct processing.
