Job description
Mechanical Buyer required for a leading M&E Contractor based in Essex who deliver large M&E projects on high-end residential developments throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Buyer to join the procurement team. Training and development will also be offered depending on experience.
- Source and procure materials and equipment.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Check stock of items.
- Maintain call-off schedules, keeping them up to date and correct.
- Negotiate prices.
- Keep track of plant hire schedules.
- Raise purchase orders.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials and equipment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Keep track of spreadsheets.
