A growing M&E company are looking for a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Site Buyer to join our team.

Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Site Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating mechanical materials for site-based projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and quality compliance while working closely with site teams to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure mechanical parts, components, and raw materials in line with site project requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing, lead times, and terms.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, site managers, and supply chain teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies for procurement efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage inventory levels on-site to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and alternative products.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within a mechanical or construction site environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and procurement projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced site environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Times served or A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
