Mechanical and Electrical Engineer (including HVAC and Water Hygiene)

EA are looking for a M&E Engineer to join a family business with over twenty-five years of experience in the maintenance industry. Looking to join the M&E Division of the Property Services Department, providing a multi-skilled maintenance service, that will include Mechanical & Electrical, HVAC and Water Hygiene services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E Engineer looking to step into a Lead role.

A fantastic chance for a driven professional ready to take on more responsibility within a well-established Facilities Management FM company. In this role you will play a key part in managing maintenance operations for a prestigious high-profile site in West London while you will still have a hands-on approach to PPM Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive maintenance. You will also take on leadership duties managing a team, overseeing performance metrics and ensuring contract compliance.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Lead and manage a team of engineers and contractors ensuring top-tier service delivery.
2. Support PPM and reactive maintenance when needed ensuring smooth efficient building operations (including emergency lighting testing & remedials, PAT testing, water sampling, plumbing & water treatment remedial, servicing, diagnosing & inspection of AC, HVAC & water systems).
3. Track KPIs and SLAs proactively addressing any service issues.
4. Enforcing and preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, RAMs and maintain full regulatory compliance.
5. Conduct regular audits and inspections ensuring maintenance aligns with best practices and safety standards and implementing safe working practices.
6. Serve as a key technical contact providing guidance to both your team and the clients on-site leadership.
7. Production of quotes and estimates including correct parts and labour times.
8. Using the click system to complete job sheets, carry out quotes and provide certifications.
9. Ordering and sourcing materials.

Required qualifications and experience:

1. NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
3. Previous experience and proven background within Mechanical & Electrical servicing & maintenance with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
4. Health and Safety expertise and knowledge of compliance, RAMs and industry regulations.
5. Leadership ability, confident in managing teams problem-solving and driving operational success.
6. Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces.
7. General maintenance including basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical works.
